Hi sweet people :) We just woke up, pretty hungover from last night. The township tour was really nice, and not at all what I expected. I'll tell you more about it and show you pictures when I find time. We're being picked up in a few minutes and we're headed to the school where Helen and Brianne work as teachers a few times a week. I can not wait to meet the children, william thackeray vanity fair I've seen videos of them and they're just beyond adorable. So we're leaving Cape Town for now, and we're spending the last few days together in Stellenbosch.
One thing that surprised me yesterday that the township tour was how happy the children were! Seriously, I've never seen children that happy, not even in Norway. Look how adorable they are <3 I wanna bring them home with me!
Nice picture! : D Yes, it is amazing what joy the vast majority william thackeray vanity fair of children in Africa! You could Norwegian privileged children william thackeray vanity fair really learned something william thackeray vanity fair .. We really can ALL learn from these people, whose joy to thousands even if they do not own hook in the wall, while we sit in the kingdom of Norway with everything we own, and yet depper of all we do not have ... Really reality check!
Oh, looks like you really enjoy you and I'm so happy for you! Was in South Africa in 2010 and look forward to one day go back :) But yes, this is that kids look so happy out - totally agree! william thackeray vanity fair Noticed this when I even saw them, and began to think about the concept of "happiness". Happiness is so relative. I think that even though these kids are poor, they have a completely different wealth than western children - they do not know of another life and appreciate the care and love and basic little things that we have trouble viewing pleasure because we take these things almost as a matter of course. Looking forward to more pictures and enjoy the last day of your :)
Bathing william thackeray vanity fair beach, shopping, township and safari ..... you not a little embarrassed taste in your mouth? You are visiting william thackeray vanity fair townships as if it was the zoo. How about taking a sightseeing trip to a refugee camp in Congo or something like that, pose with and take lots of pictures of emaciated embattled children? Exotic! Had made on the blog!
Wow, some people william thackeray vanity fair simply can not accept that I am just on vacation and I'm not here to "save the world". Moreover, the fact that people visit the townships are helping to improve the situation of the millions who live there. When people visit them getting more and more attention to the conditions under which they live, the projects they have initiated and is working to improve these living conditions, and they receive financial support and tips from various places in the world, just to name a few few positive aspects to visit townships. I bought an art for thousands of dollars in Langa, as children and adults had made, and this money goes mainly to improve activities and different courses kids can engage in after school. The people visiting the township late and being conscious of how they live there, so that they can help and support them as best they can, HOW can you make it a negative thing? I should have a stale taste in your mouth? Yes, you're actually william thackeray vanity fair quite right, william thackeray vanity fair I'm embarrassed on your behalf that are so ignorant, judgmental and uninformed. Grow up!
